IB Roofing

IB roof is a single-ply polyester-reinforced CPA/PVC membrane. IB’s original design comes from Europe, where engineers of the Post-War era were faced with massive industrial and residential re-building. They had to create a roofing product that would last a long time while minimizing energy and maintenance costs. In 1978 IB Roof Systems took the original design improved it with the latest technological know-how’s and created the ultimate roofing solution for both residential and commercial/industrial flat roofing market. In fact IB’s formulation has not changed since 1979.

Track Record
Benefit: IB's PVC membrane has a 25 year track record with installation from Hawaii to Florida.
Proof: Harrisburg School District has over 5,500 SQ of IB 50 mil membrane performing leak free for over 25 years.
Non-Wicking Scrim
Benefit: IB scrim is pre-sealed so that it will not wick water into the sheet. It does not rely on seam sealers that must be maintained.
Proof: Specified formula requires scrim to be dipped in plasticizers until fully absorbed. ASTM D570 (water absorption) industry requirement >3% IB actual is .24%.
Energy Saving Product
Benefit: IB reflects most of the UV rays that strike the roof surface, eliminating heat from the roof area. This translates into savings for you in energy costs.
Proof: Heat gain comparison illustrates that on a 85 degree day a regular smooth black roof heats up to 172 degrees, while the IB white membrane only warms to 91 degrees.;
