In 1989 I began working as a laborer in the roofing industry for Van Dyne and Sons Roofing.Over the next 15 years, I worked for several large and small roofing companies in the Reno, Sparks, Truckee area. There were times these companies sent me to work in Salt Lake City, Las Vegas and the Bay Area. I learned the roofing business from the ground up.

A little about me. . .

Dana McEvers, owner and founder of Thunder Roofing, is a native Nevadan. I spent my younger years in central Nevada, growing up on a ranch then going to school in Fallon. I am also a member of the Western Shoshone Tribe.

I came to Reno in 1984 with all my possessions in a single backpack. My first job was as a laborer in the construction industry.

In 2003 I decided to live the American dream of owning my own business. Studying and passing the State Contractors exam was just the beginning of making my dream come true.

About the company. . .

On July 31, 2003, Thunder Roofing became a licensed and insured reality! Our first roof was at 535 Marsh Ave. Since then we've done hundreds of roofs all over the Northern Nevada area.
